School Profile:

University of Bath (Bath) was established in 1966. The school is a comprehensive research university with a total population of about 18,000 people. International students account for about 30%, and about one-third of the students come from research institutes. In 1856, the University's predecessor was Merchant Venturers' Technical College, and in 1885 the school became a member of the Society of Merchant Venturers. In addition, the Bath School of Pharmacy, established in 1907, also joined the college in 1929. Finally, the school was officially upgraded to a university in 1966 and officially changed its name to Bath University of Technology. Bath has a strong reputation for research and teaching. In The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022, the school ranks 9th among more than 130 universities in the UK; in the 2022 QS World University Rankings, it ranks 166th in the world.

The university has four colleges, including Faculty of Engineering & Design, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and School of Management. The University of Bath is located in Claverton Down on the east side of Bath in the southwest of England. Bath is one of the UNESCO World Heritage listed cities.
