Middlesex University is a comprehensive public university founded in 1992, formerly known as the Polytechnic Institute established in 1973. The school was formed by the merger of several colleges, including Hendon Technical Institute established in 1939 and Hornsey College established in 1882. of Art and Pondors Ends Technical College established in 1901. The school has modern educational equipment, and some campuses retain the classical traditional buildings, combining the ancient and the modern. The total number of students is about 19,000, and international students account for 45% of the school. They come from nearly 100 countries and are very popular with international students. The school's teacher-student ratio is 1:18. Campuses were established in Dubai, Mauritius and Malta. The university's educational policy is to focus on practice and group experience as the attitude of research and learning, so that students can survive and maintain a leading position in a rapidly changing society. In addition, Middlesex has also been rated as the best business school by the Teaching Quality Assessment Committee (QAA), and obtained 22 points out of 24 points.

Middlesex University London is divided into three colleges, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Professional and Social Sciences and Faculty of the Arts and Creative Industries. The school is famous for Social work and Art & Design. Students have won awards in London Fashion Week 2010. The designer of the famous fashion brand Vivienne Westwood also graduated from this school. In addition, in order to target the English proficiency of overseas students, the school provides free English learning support to make it easier for them to meet their learning needs. For students whose grades do not meet the admission standards for the bachelor's program, the university will also provide them with basic courses so that they can effectively connect to the bachelor's program.
