Middlesex University is a comprehensive public university founded in 1992, formerly known as the Polytechnic Institute established in 1973. The school was formed by the merger of several colleges, including Hendon Technical Institute established in 1939 and Hornsey College established in 1882. of Art and Pondors Ends Technical College established in 1901. The school has modern educational equipment, and some campuses retain the classical traditional buildings, combining the ancient and the modern. The total number of students is about 19,000, and international students account for 45% of the school. They come from nearly 100 countries and are very popular with international students. The school's teacher-student ratio is 1:18. Campuses were established in Dubai, Mauritius and Malta.
