School Profile:
Coventry University (Coventry) was upgraded to a university in 1992, formerly the Coventry College of Design. The university has continued to expand in recent years, such as the establishment of a branch in London in 2010, which specializes in business subjects. In The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022, the school was ranked 51st in the UK, and its academic research in 2019 was identified as a Gold Award by the UK Higher Education Research Excellence Framework (REF) and received a 5* rating. Coventry also has close links with the industry, providing students with huge internship opportunities and a high employment rate after graduation. The University was also named "University of the Year for Student Experience" by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019. The school has a student union, which provides students with many clubs, including more than 50 sports clubs and more than 160 clubs.
Subject introduction:
The school has four colleges: Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and Faculty of Business and Law. Among them, Automotive Design and Engineering courses are quite well-known, and use the most advanced computer technology, industrial product design, art and professional design in the automotive design section. Coventry is a big city in the British automobile manufacturing industry, and it is also a traditional outstanding engineering center. Many famous automobiles such as Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, and Peugeot have established production bases here. The school offers a one-year Top-Up course and a one-month entry course, providing an additional option for Hong Kong higher diploma and associate degree students to study abroad. In addition, there are university foundation courses and diploma courses, which are suitable for students of different levels.
Geographical location:
The main campus of the university is located in the middle of England, which is a quiet and safe city. It is only an hour's drive from London and a 20-minute drive from Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK, with convenient transportation. Coventry city center has a variety of shops, restaurants, supermarkets, museums, theaters and art centers, providing a diverse life.
