Founded in 1843, Nottingham Trent University was originally a well-known design school in the UK, and was transformed into a comprehensive university in 1992. The school has always focused on high-quality teaching, and has received excellent evaluations in the evaluation of the Government Education Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). Nottingham Trent University has eight institutions: School of Arts and Humanities, School of Social Sciences, School of Science and Technology and School of Architecture, Business School, etc. The university's famous disciplines are Communication & Media Studies, Art & Design, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering and Social Policy. Among them, Law School is the largest vocational law school in the UK, and the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Business have also been rated as "Excellent Departments" by the Higher Education Funding Council of England. The university is located in Nottingham, central England, and consists of two large campuses, one in the city center and the other in a green belt in the suburbs.
